Same here. I tried launching v1.2 it from the itch app but it still won't recognize my mouse. I tried 2 different mice but none worked. I ended up playing v1.1 instead and was able to finish the game. Hope I didn't miss much from 1.2.
I was surprised by the atmosphere, ambience, plot and actual depth to Hapunan, taken from the perspective of a poverty-stricken family. From selling Balut on the street corner, to looking after Niko's family (and getting embroiled in an action plot) I was deeply gratified when the end credits rolled.
I'm looking forward to more from this developer - Berto's revenge! :)
Game Review
Suspense - 9/10 - I like the part where the old lady pop out of nowhere she really scared my pants off. The criminal running is also a bonus.
Plot 10/10 - Although I would expect that the barangay captain was part of it as he has the money. But I don't know that Ashley was a part of it. And Mang Berto being alive is one of the greatest plot twist ever
Ambiance - 8/10 I like the ambiance over all its just too common for me its not bad but I can't say that its perfect.
Gameplay 9.5/10 - It took me 30 mins to finish the game which not bad for a short horror game. I want to see a part 2 with more mechanics and more suspense such as fake jumpscares or people just teleporting out of nowhere.
Overall I would rate this game a 8.8 Balut out of 10
Hi. Maybe someone can help me. I downloaded the game without first having an Itch.io account so when I go into the account I created now, nothing will show up under my downloads. How can I launch game from this Itch launcher? When I try to play directly from the zip and exe file, the mouse doesn't work. Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance.
Please guys add some other methods to but the game, I mean pay pall doesnt work in my region, but I would defenitely buy the game if I could use my visa card.

I felt the need to support an independent game and do see the passion and culture intertwined into Hapunan. Since it's your first project, I applaud you for the work that has gone into this as a solo developer. I'm sure it took a lot of time and patience especially given your story of not having the best equipment to develop a game. I didn’t expect this game to be amazing! It’s a low-poly, PSX-style game, but it perfectly captures the essence of Filipino culture and features a really compelling story.
The jumpscares are plentiful, and some genuinely made me jump. One even gave me goosebumps—a rare experience for me! While there are still a few bugs, they don’t significantly impact the immersion or overall gameplay.

Hello po!! Sa bagong update di ko magalaw yung camera ko pero gumagana naman yung mouse sa menu. Sinubukan ko ilaro yung demo at nagagalaw ko naman yung camera kaya baka may glitch.
This game was Worth the purchase! this game had an amazing story with a great twist at the end! i played this game love on stream and I bet you a subscribe you will get a good laugh from my gameplay

Plot: 10/10 Absolute Cinema. Became Juan Dela Cruz and the Dad was Robin Padilla. Had me in tears at the end until the plot twist happened.

Version 1.2 mouse looking not working po sakin. I tried version 1.1 I got stuck at the train tracks, can't go to day 2.
