About:
Hapunan is a story-driven horror game inspired by Filipino culture. I made this using Unity Game Engine, I wanted to create a unique experience for players. This is my first game release, so I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Story:
You play as Niko, a hardworking balut vendor who gets caught in a dangerous situation.
What starts as a simple task to get a business permit turns into something much bigger. As you investigate, you discover a dark secret involving the Barangay Captain, his dangerous friends, and a violent past. Along the way, you’ll face tough decisions, uncover hidden truths, and fight to protect your family.
With a mix of suspense, action, and Filipino culture, Hapunan offers an intense and emotional experience.

I've been using a potato pc/laptop since I was a kid and told my self that, "I'm gonna keep trying to make a game even if it's hard and always crashing my system, I will not stop grinding to make a good game". I really enjoyed this game. It’s amazing to see something that connects me to my culture from the Philippines. I’d love to learn more about each character’s motivations and what drives them. Note: I did have a glitch where I couldn't pick up and sell more than one balut or chicharon at a time so I had to restart the game.
Talagang nagustuhan ko ang larong ito. Ang saya na makakita ng isang laro na konektado sa kultura ko bilang Pilipino. Gusto kong mas malaman pa ang mga motibasyon ng bawat karakter at kung ano ang nagtutulak sa kanila. Sana magpatuloy kayo sa paggawa ng ganitong mga laro! Gusto ko rin sanang makakita ng mas mahabang bersyon na nakabatay sa grupo ng Pay to Kill, kung saan mabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang bawat karakter na lumago at mas mapaunlad pa ang kanilang kwento. 💖🇵🇭

It's a paid game but still have mouse issues for v1.2 both stand alone and with Itch app.
Edit: Initially, because v1.2 mouse issue was still there after following the fix I found online, I played v1.1 instead and didn't get the mouse issue. However, there were sound glitches and few lags.
I decided to move the entire v1.2 folder from drive D to drive C and ran it as Administrator. Mouse started working.

Good game with a good story for the run time and some pretty decent scarespeak cinema.
The jumpscares legit got me, and I love how it mixes Filipino vibes with creepy vibes. Short, sweet, and super solid for an indie horror. Big props!
But plot twist: the real scare was my empty wallet after buying more games to recover, XD.

Mouse is not working besides on the pause menu. Left and Right click works but not mouse look. Launched the game through itch but still nothing. Running on windows 11 and using a logitech mouse. PLs help
